From my "Depression Affects You" self portrait series. This one is for Shock and Denial.
While this shot was an accident, it's one of my favorites. It being out of focus just adds to the appeal for me, and really emphasizes the point that we will do just about anything to hide that your depressed or grieving.
Title was influenced by "this mask of glass is what I choose to wear, so I won't ever have the need to bear, to tell the truth to anyone but me" from the song Let It Enfold You by my favorite band Senses Fail

I really like this shot. Depression is never in clear focus. We become depressed because we don't see the world clearly, and when those around us become depressed we defocus to blunt the pain.
